- DK/Light Weight Yarn
- 3.5mm/ E Hook, Needle for weaving in ends
- No Gauge
- Ch at beginning of each row does not count as a stitch.
Abbreviations (US Terms)
- MC- Magic Circle or Magic Ring
- ch-chain
- sc-single crochet
- sl st- slip stitch
- lsc- long single crochet
Pattern
White Yarn
Using a 3.5mm/E Hook make a Magic Circle (MC)
Ch 1, 6sc inside MC sl st into first sc
Round 1: ch1, 2sc in each sc, sl st into beginning sc (12sc)
Round 2: ch1 *1sc, 2sc in next stitch* Repeat from *to* to end of round, sl st into beginning sc (18sc)
Round 3: ch1* 1sc in next two stitches, 2sc in next stitch* Repeat from *to* to end of round, sl st into beginning sc (24sc)
Round 4: ch1* 1sc, 2sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next two stitches* Repeat *to* to end of round, sl st into beginning sc (30sc)
Round 5: ch1* 1sc in the next 4 stitches, 2sc in next stitch * Repeat *to* to end of round, sl st in beginning sc (36sc)
Round 6: ch1* 1sc, 2sc in next stitch, 1sc in next 4 stitches* Repeat *to* to end of round, sl st in beginning sc (42sc)
Switch to the Blue Yarn
Round 7: ch 1, *1 sc in next st , 1 lsc in next stitch, 1
sc in next st, 1 lsc in next st, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in the next st, 1 lsc in next st* repeat *to* to end of round, st st in beginning sc (48st)
Round 8: ch 1 * 2sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next 7 stitches *. Repeat *to* to end of round, sl st in beginning sc (54sts)
Start Edging
Round 9: ch1 *1sc-5ch-1sc in first st, 1sc in next st, 1 sc-ch12-1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st* Repeat*to* to end of round. Sl st into beginning sc and fasten off.
Weave in ends
